Garrison, at the Mouth of the Kambing River, Sees the Flags of the World

In the days of sail, Garrison was often the safest anchorage during heavy weather and was an important seaport on the route to the Spice Islands of the East. Today most ships dock only in Kambing, if they stop at Renga at all. This merchantman made an unscheduled stop here to make repairs. High on the mountains stands the old British fort that once protected the town. Today it is merely a signal station for ships.
