ART/Politics,
done in the late Spring of 1982, concerns itself with the relationships
between art and politics and between authenticity and forgery. This set
of documents is intended to give the impression that there was a protest
of an exhibition of "political art" presented at the University
of Massachusetts Fine Arts Center Gallery. The show, "Racism, Sexism,"
did in fact take place. The protest did not.
The items presented here as
documents are wholly fabricated.
